Sean McCraren
5/3/1970 – 5/2/2015
A Generous Heart, A Lust For Life & A Passion For Safety
As the son of long-time miner, safety engineer and MSHA trainer, Larry McCraren, Sean had safety in his DNA. Sean’s career began selling mine safety equipment with AIM SAFE. After several years Sean made a detour working for FedEx, first on the docks, then in administration and ultimately auditing driver and vehicle records to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. This then led him back to the mining industry, and the conception of McCraren Compliance. Sean spent the next several years contracting with BHP in Miami, AZ to audit their commercial driver and vehicle records.
Sean reconnected with his roots by obtaining his MSHA training certification. With this certification, Sean quickly grew McCraren Compliance to a multi-million dollar company and a premier provider of safety training & CDL compliance.
With the untimely passing of Sean McCraren, the Safety Industry suffers a significant loss. Sean’s legacy, which he picked up from his father Larry, lives on through his brothers Michael and Ronny and the entire McCraren Compliance family.
Our team has a shared commitment to Sean’s passion to ensure every miner, driver, construction worker and laborer makes it home to their families at the end of each long day’s work. This ideal was always Sean’s motivation and is forever in the individual and collective hearts of his McCraren Compliance family.
